There are typically alignment dots on both the old and new replacement
sprockets with the timing cover off line them up and when you put the
new ones they should also be lined up......
In reality, I can't see how the crank will move on it's own or the cam
on it's own when the chain is off, unless you accidentally try to start
the truck!!!! Additionally, IIRC both the crank gear and the cam gear
will have keyways or maybe a dowel pin on the cam, so again what's the
big deal?
