Waiting for a response, I queried 3 Dodge Service Depts. in the area:

2 said the condenser "should" come out w/o removing the radiator (sounds
logical and too good 2B true - probably not responses from someone who has
actually laid under the thing and seen what I've seen), while the 3rd said
that the condenser unit is likely part of an "assembly" w/ the radiator
(the that they thus come out together as one unit). (It always amazes me
how different the repair responses are between 3 different outfits).

What strikes me as the likely scenario is that the fan shroud has to be
unfastened and the radiator raised at least 2" or so to expose the lower
condenser bolts. This is in line w/ what you are saying. In my case, the
radiator was flushed, etc. last year and I'd prefer not to drain the
coolant.

How does that sound?
