I assumed it had something to do with the limited slip :-) as yes it has
the limited slip and yes, I think it's broken. I am curious as to
exactly what it might be. Last time I had a diff problem the dealer
swapped out the axle under my extended warranty.

A few weeks ago I had the truck in my parents hay field. Brand new
Falken STZ-01's, flat ground, bit wet and very, very close to having to
get a tractor over to pull me out. It certainly appeared to me that the
limited slip wasn't working. I did have to laugh at one Falken owner's
review of the tires where he complained about mud and snow performance.
I mean, did he even look at the tire?

As for the alignment, that it probably the best route. I had read a ton
of online articles about just adjusting the tie-rod ends yourself, but I
suspected that there's a huge chance that you'd end up with a screwed up
alignment doing that. Given the brand new tires, probably best not to
mess with that.
