really, 2 qts of water in the passenger footwell?

I'd pulled the kickplate to bypass the infinity amp. Maybe all that
water explains why it had been kicking in and out.

Any ideas where to start looking for the source of the water?

Firewall? Transmission tunnel?

There's nothing on the driver side, but so much on the passenger that is
was all the way back to the B pillar.
