big difference in wheelbase between a regular and extended cab, which
is what he's looking at in this case.

a blown trans won't give you codes just because it's blown. bad bands
or clutches don't give any pressure issues which is all an RE knows
about. Again, doesn't apply in this case, a '93 will have a hydraulic
trans. I don't know if it is an A500 or a 42RH though. I also don't
know if that makes any difference - wasn't it nearly a change in name/
designation only between those?
