Cruise issues

Mike. I have a '95 Ext cab V8 Auto Dakota that has the type
steering wheel you describe with your Ram.
I've had all kinds of issues with cruise. I've had 2 servos go
bad. I've had every wire that goes to the cruise controls in the
steering wheel to break. I assume it is the continueing flex that
comes with using the Tilt every time I get in/out of the vehicle.
They break in the area that I'm sure is where the most flex is
occuring. I've spliced in wires to every one of them & if
memory serves me correctly that is 5 wires. Keep in mind
that this vehicle has over 300K miles on it & the tilt is always
used. (Comes with getting old & fat.) When mine 1st started
giving trouble it would just fall out of cruise going down the
road - then got to where it would not engage. Never had the
brake issue you are haveing & I don't have the light, so that
has never been an issue.

Good luck.

PS. I found that the Servos from just about any MOPAR of
the same vintage will work if it will plug up.. Same goes for
the button assy.. I bought a new one once & didn't need it.
It is laying around here someplace if you dicide you need one,
but to be quite honest, I'd visit my nearest yard....

If it were not for 'Global Warming',
Hell would be froze over by now..

Azie
