Ok guys got some questions about an HP tower....
Intel core 2 duo, ddr2 memory sata hdds.
Onboard video and ethernet (ethernet has been dead for a couple years)
About a week ago it failed to turn on. Pulled the PSU plug (ATX 24 pin) and shorted the green and a ground wire which should turn it on, no fan in the PSU, had it checked @ BeastBuy and was told the 12vdc supplies were low. Bought new PSU will goto splash screen and will occasionally start the POST but then dies.
Can get to bios but it also will just die when there as well.
Won't try to boot off the CD/DVD ram.
Trying to decide if it's something dead on the mobo that's drawing down and killing the PSU or if there is something else I should be thinking about?
