Umm...because compact pickups weren't compact anymore maybe?? People didn't want to pay as much for "compact" pickups when they could buy a "full size" for near the same price.

Reporters don't check facts anymore I guess. They just write what they're told to from the corporations.

If one of the manufacturers had seen the writing on the wall, a "real" compact truck with great gas mileage would have sold like crazy.
