Silly thought....assuming there are no check valves in the fuel system or if
there is place you can pop the line off @ near the tank......

Use a tire inflator with some low pressure air to blow the line out back to
the tank, then when the pump runs it should have a clear line to the rail.
If you can blow all the way back to the tank it will also agitate the fuel
and help the Heet absorb the water. And blow the crud off the sock.

Also the new ethanol filled (10% or so) fuel goes bad pretty quickly.
