Ignition & Trans. Service

Sorry for the previous empty "help" mail. It's been long day.

I completed installation of a Jacobs Electronics Ultra Team ignition on my
'92 318 Dakota. The
installation was uneventful. After assembly, the truck started right up.
The package included a
computer ignition, Ultra coil, silicone ignition wires. I switch from
Autolite Platnum plugs to Autolite
copper plugs gapped to 0.060. I haven't replaced the dist. cap or rotor yet.
 I choose the Jacobs
product on Christopher Siano's recommendation.

Prior to installation, the truck was occasionally missing at highway speeds
and "bucking". After
installation, the truck starts noticebly faster, runs very strong, and
doesn't miss anymore. Actually, I
find it amazing that with plugs gapped 0.025 over stock, it works so well.
Jacobs recommends 0.030
over stock with the Ultra coil. I didn't feel confident going that far on
the first try. I don't have any fuel
mileage experience yet.

Overall, I'm impressed. However, I changed plugs, wires, coil, ignition all
in one step. Therefore, I
guess one cannot draw any real conclusions about specific components. I did
call the Jacobs guys
on Saturday afternoon to ask some questions; they were very helpful.

On another topic, my local Dodge dealer serviced my truck last week. As you
may recall, I asked for
transmission fluid changing experience from the list a while back. The
dealer called me and implied
that my aftermarket exhaust was blocking access to the transmission pan.
They didn't want to drop
the exhaust to do the work. When I picked up the truck, the mechanic said
that the stock exhaust
cross-over blocks access, not the custom exhaust. What's the real deal here?
 How much should I
expect to pay to get a fluid/filter change? $50?

So long for now. Remember to embarass Mustangs often!
