Hello, glad to be on the list. Thanks to some of the submittals, I've
learned more about my Dakota.

Howard Wesley
Sheridan, Illinois

1995 Dodge Dakota Sport, 2WD, 5 speed manual, 4cyl, PS, PB.

I've just hit 12K on the odometer and the only problems I've ran into are:

Floor creaking on tight turns

This was caused by loose bolt mounting the body to the frame. You
got 4 on the cab, with the rubber mounting donuts. Tighten them up.

Bench seat squeaks with passenger and seat moved all the way back.

It appears that the seat back and rear window moulding are made of
like material, and when rubbed together cause the squeaking. I
have not fixed this yet, except to move the seat forward 1 notch.

Tinny noise from rear underneath of car when hitting bumps.

I thought it was the Catalytic converter shield, but it is tight.
I will check the spare next.

Spare tire sidewall wear.

A friend has a 95 with the V6 eng. He had to use his spare tire
and noticed abrasions on the sidewalls in three places. I'll
check mine tonight. It appears that the tire is rubbing up against
the body underneath the bed. Maybe his spare was not cranked up
         all the way?

Passenger side window handle fell off.

It appears that it was not locked in all the way. Fell off in the
wife's hand. Snapped back on without difficulty.

Rubber molding bulged on drivers door window opening.

Actual metal part of door was not flat. It was bent out. A good
pair of channel-locks took care of that problem.
