I ran my tank down to empty last fall; took 22 gallons to fill it. The
needle dropped below the E, but I don't remember how far. I did seem to
get about 50 miles after my "Empty" light came on, though. And total
mileage on the tank: about 310 miles. 1991 2WD 5spd V-6 Longbed.
Interestingly, when I fill my tank, the needle doesn't go all the way to
F; it gets pretty close, but there's still some room. Strange!
