Hello fellow Dakota fans!!!
I sure was blown away with the first day of E-mail(25 messages). I've
been a mopar fan for a little over 15 years now and I sure love my truck. Its
a 95 Sport, swb, reg cab with 5.2l/5spd, 3.90 sure grip, buckets, trailer pkg.,
AC(its hot in Texas!), PW/PL. After haggling for some time, I ordered it for
$300 over dealer invoice ($14,100). I enjoy racing the little green monster
at the Texas Motorplex whenever I can. Here are the numbers:
Bone stock......... 15.90's (300 miles)
Jacobs Ultra Team.. 15.70
MP Computer........ 15.35
Exhaust ........... 15.00 (2/14 pipe to manifolds,flowmaster Y-pipe,3"
convertor, 3"Big block muffler, V-10 tailpipe)
**All times recorded with stock tires, very hot temperatures and high humidity
with quite a bit of wheelspin!
While beating 5.slows sure is fun, I would like to run mid 13's without juice
or a supercharger. If anyone has a truck this fast, please fill me in on what
worked for you. Also, I have installed a very nice component stereo in my truck
