& I have a '94 Dakota Ext. Cab 318 automatic. I want to know if it will get

If the Chevy is a '95 or eariler, then relax. The 318 makes 220 HP,
the old (pre '96) Chevy 350 was only about 205 HP. The '96 is
substantially stronger, 245 or therabouts.
