Just found this club yesterday on the internet. I am interested in what
modifications other dakota owners have made and if there are any common
problems.
I own a 1991 Dakota Sport 4x4 with a v-8, auto, and 3.90 axles. I worked as
co-op engineer for a year at New Venture Gear, the company that manufactures
the transfer cases and manual transmissions for the dakota. I worked in the
transfer case product engineering dept, if anyone has transfer case questions I
will probably be able to answer them or get the information.
My dakota has an interesting problem, when I fill the fuel tank total full the
gas gauge goes reads empty for about 30 miles then it goes to full. Anyone
else ever had this problem?
