Suspension - Anti-torque Bars (fwd)

& It seems like quite a few of us have V8 Dakotas. I was wondering if anyone
& else has thought about adding (have to fab it, I haven't seen them aftermarket)
& a torque control bar. That's a bar that connects the top (or bottom - 2WD) of
& the rear axle to the frame to eliminate wind-up and wheel hop.
&
& I've got the Sure-Grip limited slip, and the problem is much better with my
& better shocks, but when I take off on dry pavement there is some wheel hop.

I have the V8, 3.55 sure grip, 5 speed, 2WD. I also have the 2000 pound
rear springs and a 7/8" rear anti-sway bar. Wheel hop and spring
wind-up aren't a problem. I still have the stock rear shocks (what are
you using and what do you think of them?). I'd rather not give up any
ground clearance for a torque control bar.

Now that you bring up the subject, when I was shopping I test drove a
Chevy S-10 pickup (new style) with small V6 and 5 speed. It would sit
still while the back wheel(s) hopped up and down for several seconds.
The lady from the dealership who was riding with me was very amused.
In comparison even the stock Dakota with 1400 pound springs was so
much better it was ridiculous.

& Thoughts? Ideas?
