HELP! I have a 1988 Dodge Dakota 4x4 w/ 3.9l V6. I have
been noticing really bad gas mileage lately. The
timing has been checked, plugs replaced and gapped,
and the air filter changed. I'd like suggestions,
perhaps the carburetor needs work. MPG has been down
it seems to around 10. The Engine CHECK LIGHT returns
no codes when I toggle the ingition switch. Any ideas?
A few times I have lost power unexpectedly when climbing
hills and/or pulling a boat.
