& I thought the new Dakota looked good, but it does not (as depicted) have a
& step bumper. I wouldn't like that; two cars have already committed suicide
& (both totaled) on the rear bumper of my '94 Dakota (I'm on my third stock
& bumper courtesy of the insurance company -- got a slightly dented back-up
& bumper in my basement).

I agree about the bumper. I also like the step bumper because I like
to step on it.

The pictures on the web are labeled as 2WD. It is several inches
higher than my 2WD. To me that is bad, it will make it wallow around
in turns. The 4WD folks will be real happy if the 4WD is even higher.

The sides don't have the big rubber strip to protect it from door dings.

I'm glad I have my '95 from what I've seen so far.
