I just had really great results from Redline Synthetic Fuel Injector cleaner.
Back in my carburetted vehicle days (wait, oh, SAABs don't count here) I
had a nice boost in mpg and power by running a bottle of Chevron's Techron
(which is now Fuel Injector Cleaner Plus) at the beginning of a long trip.
I would make a point of putting the bottle in at the second fillup, after
things are warmed up, and when I expected to be driving all day. YMMV.
