The stock filter called out for my 89 3.9 4x4 is hardly bigger than a tea
cup. The FRAM PH16, PH43, PH8A (bigger, bigger still, biggest) will all fit
the PH8A is a full quart sized filter and it is a bitch to install but it
will fit.
