I'm really glad I'm on this list, as I'm now encountering a few problems
that others have come across. Oh, and BTW, Montana is still beautiful, I
still want to move back, Glacier Park is stunning, but it's nice to be
back to the beach here in SD.

I noticed a rough idle before I headed back down here. The computer reports
error codes for the O2 sensor and idle speed control. As the AAMCO folks
messed with the exhaust where the O2 sensor's mounted, I'll let them check
for loose connections first. I suspect at 90K miles it's probably due for
replacement though. I'll have to try cleaning the idle control.

Out on the highway the truck ran great, and towed just fine. The long
wheelbase of the Club Cab makes for a really nice tow vehicle.

I read the report on the new Dakota too (it's June 20th on the caranddriver site BTW, not Jan '96). The extra 3.5 inches of body width are a minus as far as I'm concerned, though the wider tires will help all around - traction for getting the 230 hp to the road, cornering, and on sand. Looks -- I'll have to see it first, tho I like the Ram.

I browsed a few more of those Car & Driver reports. The Ram has sure been selling well, and Dodge has sold half as many Dakotas as Rams, so I'm sure they're pleased with the Dak too. There's got to be a hefty profit on each truck! We should all own Chrysler stock!

Take care,
