I have seen and heard a few different stories on Platinum's, seems that
either they work great or really bad, I had installed them in my 79 MGB a
few years ago and really noticed the difference. A buddy of mine put them
into his 81 Volvo Turbo and has sworn by them ever since but another friend
of mine put them in a 350 chevy and it didn't run well at all.
Seems they don't get along with American Iron too well, weird! You may be
better off with the Champions or similar.
