5w-50 won't do jack to increase oil pressure. The base viscosity
is what you're after; your oil pressure on 5w will probably be less
than what it is on 10w-30. 20w-50 would do it, most likely, but
what are you worried about? You use synthetic, and as long as you're
not getting adverse wear or nasty noises I'd suspect the oil pressure
sender before I started playing with viscosities.
