I've got the "plain jane" AM/FM cassette in my '96 Club Cab SLT. (i.e.
not the infinity system)
When I'm listening to the radio (FM stations mostly), the sound on the
right hand side will kind of drop off. It is still there, and if I listen
long enough, it almost sounds normal, but as soon as it kicks back in,
I can instantly tell something was wrong. The sound is so much richer,
fuller, and the volume is higher.
Its hard to describe. Almost like the sound gets a drop in volume,
maybe muffled a little bit... It almost sounds like the difference
between mono and stereo...
I haven't been able to tell wether bumpy road conditions affect this
condition at all. At first, I thought that is what it was, maybe bumps
in the road jiggling a loose wire, but lately it seems more random...
Has anyone encountered this problem? I'm hoping its something simple
like a loose wire that I can fix quick and easy... I don't have a
whole lot of time to play with the dealer, but if I have to, I will...
(it should be covered under the warantee, anyway)
Any help or ideas would be appreciated!
Thanks very much!
