10 to 25 horsepower gain depending on the setup.
(in reference to the K&N request)Some guys run an open element
360 degree 3x14 unit, some run the element in the
stock air box. I have a custom sealed MOPAR
PRO-STOCK hood scoop with a K&N velocity stack
(I'll post some picts soon)that makes lotsa power.
My brother runs the 70-72 Demon hood scoop sealed with
a K&N on his Dak( Killer lime green AAR KOTA).
I've seen a dual snorkle air box with a K&N for that
stock cheater ram air. Also fellas, take the mount for your
air cleaner holdown off and get yourselves some threaded rod
and bend it into an "S" type shape to put the aircleaner
back on. Notice this positioner clamp blocks
a third of each throttle bores airflow capacity.
The MAFS will compensate for the new airflow rate
guareenteeeeeeeed! Getting back to the K&N setups,
I went from 14.20's at 97 to 13.80's at 101 with my
setup. I am curios to hear of any more track secrets
concerning Dak's you guy's have. I've got a few up my sleeve!
