Resetting the Maint Req Light (EMR)

I have a 92 4X4 Dakota with the 5.2 ltr V-8. As the truck reached 60000
mi the EMR (Maint Req)light went on and stays on. The service manual
simply states to plug in the DRB II diagnostic tool and reset the
system. Is there a method to reset the light without actually having to
buy the tester? I have replaced the EGR and PVC valves as suggested by
the manual. This is a calif truck.
