Sam,
I don't know what was changed on the '95s, but the first recall on the '94
was to place two plastic plugs into the back of the steering wheel. This
would "prevent " the keys from sticking in the screw hole and turning off
the truck. It didn't. The next recall was for the same problem but a
replacement of the steering wheel backing was done. I didn't have this
done because I didn't want a working steering wheel with airbag and cruise
being disturbed (ok, I don't know about the air bag but, how could I
know?). I just changed key rings and got rid of the key fob. No
problems so far.
Good luck,
1994 Dakota 5.2l 5 speed (R/T in progress)
