Well, I used S100, which is a fancy German motorcycle cleaner. It's sorta
like super-Simple Green. I used the S100 because it will cut through even
chain lube, and it rinses clean. Given that the filter is only likely to
be contaminated with air filter oil, and maybe some motor oil mist sucked
through the PCV system, I think any decent detergent would clean it up.
