Have you tried jiggling the steering wheel when this happens? I have a
friend with a '92 Plymouth Sundance who couldn't get his car started in
my driveway. We could move the ignition to access, but not to start
it. He was calling his uncle for help and I went out to his car, moved
the wheel a bit, and it started right up! Maybe this won't solve your
prob, however. Just an idea.
