I used to work at the Dodge dealership in my hometown. In my opinion
rustproofing is a waste of money and in the long run may even do damage.
To rustproof (at my dealership) they drilled holes in the doors to inject
the rustproofing which can lead to rust. Also, many warranties have a
great deal of fine print that, in simple terms, says "Screw you". The
factory rust protection is very good and I believe it carries a ten
year/100,000 mile warranty.
