If you replaced the thermostat and the coolant temp seems like it's where
it's supposed to be, make a hook from a wire coat hanger unplug the wire
from the coolant temp sensor (or easier trace the wire to a connector on
the passenger's side of the intake manifold and disconnect that connector)
and check to see if there is 700 to 1000 ohms resistance at 194 degrees
(you may have to partly block the radiator to get the temp that high and
keep it there in the winter). If the resistance of the coolant temp
sensor is in that range your sensor is okay. It should be from 7000 to
13000 ohms at 70 to 90 degrees, but that may be hard to check during the
winter.
I'd go for the vehicle speed/distance sensor.
