Flowmaster Y pipe

Ok guys here's the scoop on the Y pipe. One of the biggest restrictions
in the factory exhaust system are the puny 1 3/4" pipes coming out of
the exhaust manifolds. The one on the driver's side is so kinked I'm
surprised the engine can breathe at all. I got an aluminized Y pipe from
flowmaster that is 2 1/4x2 1/4 x3" and had a local exhaust pipe weld a
fitting in for the O2 sensor. Then you run aluminized 2 1/4" pipe from
the manifolds to the Y pipe. Then 3" pipe to a 3" high flow cat into the
muffler of your choice(I used the flowmaster Big block) etc.. The
exhaust shop did a beautiful job on the bending and welds and the whole
system including the cat and labor was $400.00. ETs plummeted nearly 4
tenths and I get compliments on the sound all the time.
