Ok guys I guess I'll have to fess up. Yes the motor is still the
stock Magmun 318 the stock cam that Lunati reground to close up the
lobe separation and K-Motion valve springs. I installed a set of
Hooker Super comp headers, MSD6AL, Blaster coil, MP computer, and
good plug wires. But now for the performance gains: Drive train...all.
..Drive train. 904 trans with a 3500 stall Turbo Action converter, 8
3/4 rear end from a 72 Duster (bolted right in and is 4" narrower
then stock) with 4:30 gears. Had to fabricate a crossmember that I
got out of a 69 Chevell (I know!!), and had a custom driveshaft made.
I removed the load leafs and installed an adjustable pinion snubber.
When I am racing I set the adjustable front shocks at 90/10 for
weight transfer. The spare tire is full of sand for weight. My best
pass with terrible hooking street tires and through the mufflers is a
13:65 at 97 MPH with a 1.97 60 foot. Install 30-9 Goodyear radial
slicks and unhook the collectors and, 13:28-13:35 at 99 MPH all day
with 1.77-1.79 60 foot. Pretty simple but effective. I will be
updating the fuel system to larger lines, pump and injectors. Also
installing a programmable computer (ouch $1000.00) and hoping for
12:80's. Thats about it for now.

Damn Jerry, I have to get me some of those springs! Thats at least a
