from the work bench of jules:

ohh!... hi there...:)

the stock 92 dakota injector, pt# 53007809, for example is a 19.8 psi
injector. there is some operational pressure dif as inj will handle 43
psi at wot. more important is the ohm rating of the injector, the pulse
width which is rated in milli-seconds, quality of spray pattern,
repeatibilty capability, and homogenous ability of all injectors to flow
identical rates at various cc's of fuel usage per minute.

a complete set of precision balanced injectors can add 8-10 ft lbs
torque to engine system meeting production specs... add up to 2 mpg as a
rule and are a big push for increased throttle response

the 92 injector won't work well in the 94/95 dakota 5.2... too lean

the part # is on the side of the injector embossed into the
plastic/rubber area at top of injector... a magnifying glass will be of
a help here

waxes in gasoline left from production and varnish build up from
gasoline residue/usage will build up to hinder optimum performance of
injector... hence inj needs periodic cleaning

one of most important items is the keep a clean fuel filter often in
system

don't EVER get gas in your ear when under truck... you'll be out of
there in a second and off to the hospital!!!!!!

most stock injectors are only guaranteed to only flow 80% of optimum
capacity

stock manifold has distribution problems for max performance
applications and so one vehicle could experience detonation while
another didn't or did so at a higher rpms...

a balanced egt is optimal for increased acceleration rates

the later injectors are rated a bit higher than the earlier ones

at wot the injector is along for the ride and does not pusle when in
open loop...

just thot you might want to know.... :)
