How fast can you break a New Dakota

Hi all;

Well my dealer called yesterday and said my truck was delivered. Went to
take delivery (already paid for), it was beautiful. I did not want the
dealer to clean and wax it and it just came off the carhauler. Mechanic
checked it over, checked all fluids, everything looked good. They asked if
my brother-in-law and I wanted to drive it to the gas station for my free
tank of gas (of course I did). Three (3) miles on the odometer when we
pulled out of the lot, (1 mile to the gas station) got the fill-up. My
brother-in-law said we should take it easy on it (BS). Pulled out of the
station and punched it, never got to second gear, we left the entire rear
drive train laying on the middle of the road (:-P !!!!! Had to have it
flat bedded back to the dealer with four (4) miles showing.

Don't you just love torque!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When we got back it was after 5:00 and all the mechanics were gone, I put
on an old shirt I had in my vehicle, grab a creeper and climbed under.
Guess What! twisted the punkin right-off the axle housings. Sure glad this
happened now as CC might whine if it happened four months from now or maybe
I would be whining if I was 200 miles from no-where in the mountains.

For some of those that I have been seeing posts about a jerkiness when
pulling out, due to the angle of the drive shat vs. suspension travel,
there might be a problem with this situation on the assembly line and where
the punkin gets jigged to the axle housings. (just an educated observation)

I AM STILL LAUGHING (:-)
