Sorry, but I can't help you there. I took interest in your comment,
however, because I just bought a 97 Dakota Club Cab and am looking for a
slide-in camper that will fit that truck. Specifically, I'm looking for a
slide-in that pops up (cranks up), not a high profile, hardside camper. Do
you, by chance, know anything about such campers. I'm trying to get
information as to which companies make high quality campers for the Dakota.
If you should have any ideas on this subject, I would appreciate hearing
your coments.

Harris:

The only pop-up camper that I know about was called an "Alaskan" camper. As
far as whether they're still made, or fit a Dakota, I don't know.

The only camper that I've seen to fit a Dakata is built by Bigfoot. Sorry I
can't be any more help. We're looking for a small trailer (13 - 17': Boler,
Trillum or Bigfoot).

Keep in mind, the top of the box for '97 is different than 96 and earlier.
I've had a canopy on order for several months, but the manufacturers aren't
building them yet. I just got my aftermarket box liner (duraliner)last week.
