Ron,
I have a 92 V6, Auto A-500 and had the exact same problem. I took it
to the dealer and they replaced the thing in the tranny that tells it when to
shift and have not had any problems since, that was at about 10,000 miles.
Can't remember what the part was called, but it was warranty so who cares.
