I haven't seen the 97 SLT's yet, but I agree that the sports i've seen
look pretty nice! :)

Ground clearance is the enemy! ;) Well, maybe not for a 4x4. I have
a problem in that I want 4x4 for snow and stuff, but I don't care for really
high trucks. I like 'em low and fast. Not too low, just low enough. :)

  Yikes!! BIG disagreement here! :)

If I had to name the single biggest thing that I like about my truck
it would have to be the engine, but the club cab would be 2nd for sure! :)
I feel claustrophobic when sitting in a non-club cab model. The club cab
is *great* for chucking crap into without worrying about space. Its great
for getting groceries in the rain, its great for taking up to 3 more people
along (just make sure the trip isn't *too* long).

I love my club-cab, and I'd never buy a truck without it!

  ...just my opinion, of course...

Yeah, if you're into car audio, you'll want to stay away from the
infinity because its all proprietary, and you can't replace a part of the
system with anything other than another infinity component. You'd have to
replace the whole system. if you're going to end up replacing the whole system
anyway, why pay for the infinity in the first place?
If you don't see yourself upgrading the radio though, this really isn't
an issue...

Congratulations on your purchase! I'm sure you'll be happy with whatever
you end up with! :) After all, its a Dakota, isn't it? :)

(BTW: I'd probably go with the sure-grip too... I don't know what it costs
on the '97s, but the benefit/dollar ratio was pretty good when I bought my
truck.)
