In a message dated 97-03-15 07:16:31 EST, you write:

<< While I do not personally own a Dodge, a friend does, but he does not
have 'Net access. Ok, here's the problem. He has a new 96 Dodge Dakota V-6
with manual transmission. It leaks. Every time it rains, the carpets on
the passenger side get soaked. The neighbors think he is whacked because
every night, he drags this huge tarp over his truck to keep the inside dry.
The dealer has no clue, but says he will take the truck in for four days to
find and fix the problem. Only thing is, my friend depends on his truck for
his business and the dealer won't authorize a loaner. (Did tell him where he
could RENT a vehicle tho.) The truck is still under warranty and the
extended warranty option was purchased. Any one have any similar problems?
I checked ALLDATA's TSB list, but drew a blank. Any information would be
appreciated!

Sounds like the dealer is jerking his chain a little, My extended waranntee
covers a loaner @ $30 / day up to $100. There are different plans and I don't
know if all are covered the same. If there is a problem with dealer
co-operation then I would call the 800 customer service line as there is no
way this should not be fixed now. Dealers like this are what give good
service a bad name. Who was that dealer?
