I agree with you about the rediculous price of new vehicles, but I found
that with the price of service and parts skyrocking as well, it was just
about as expensive to keep my 1978 3/4 ton on the road as it is to make
payments on a new truck. Even my neighbour, who sold his 76 3/4 ton and
bought a used 89 3/4 ton is having to spend a lot of money keeping the used
one running.

Plus, I get the pleasure of driving a new vehicle and get three years
without worrying about big repair bills.

It would be a different story if I was an automotive mechanic and only had
to buy the parts.
