My 94 extended cab went in to the dealer for brakes at 29,000 miles.
Seems that Chrysler covered the replacement front rotors under warranty
since there was a known defect.
However, I still got charged $250 because the dealer said Chrysler
wouldn't provide the rotors with the old brake shoes! I even tried to get
them to give me the rotors and I would do the work myself, but again was
told that Chrysler wouldn't allow it.
Then it took them more than a week to get the necessary parts in and to
get my Dak back! Then, the service mgr. told me that part of the problem
was trapped BRAKE DUST, and that I needed to bring the Dak back every
6 months for regular brake dust removal! Needless to say, I HAVEN'T been
back to THAT dealer!

Has anyone had problems with the rotors on their Dak's. I am about to
take my '96 (28000 mi.) in for the second time to have the rotors
turned. First time it was done was at about 16000 miles. This seems
unusual to me as 90% of my mileage is highway.
Are there any TSB's out on this?
Thanks...
