Are you considering the 'full' air suspension....replacement of
current stock springs completely? I've seen some ads on these setups
     and they look pretty trick.

As for lowering info on the '97 V8's here's what I've got:

Bell Tech - (800)445-3767: Standard offerings (spindles, coils,
hangers/shackles, and probably shocks) due for release in 3 months. No
     target list prices yet.

AIM - (800)879-9125: Waiting to get a '97 test vehicle for
developement (anyone live near Phoenix? I think that's where these
     guys are anyway.)

     Ground Force - (412)430-2060: 2.5/3.5 coil/block/shackle/shock combo
due for release at the end of April. Target list is $432.

Eibach (714)752-6700: Engineers out till Monday but last I checked
they were planning drop coils *and* drop leafs. I'll post an update
     next week.

Western Suspension - I called these guys a month or so ago about '97
availability. They were working on spindles but couldn't tell me any
more about time to market. They *did* mention that they had found
that pre '97 shackle and hanger kits will work on the '97's.

I plan to go the shackle/hanger route for the rear (I'll go drop leafs
if they're not too expensive) and probably drop coils in the front.
New shocks are recommended due to the reduced travel.

Has anyone experimented with 4 or 6 cylinder coils in a V8 truck.
This should give a slight drop and be great for weight transfer at the
drag strip. This is a popular trick with the mustang crowd.
