My Truck is A 1994, It is all stock. Is there certain ignition problems that
I should
be experiencing? It now has 33,000 miles on it and it Runnnnnnns beautiful
!!
Gentlemen
To answer a couple of questions:
MSD dictates that their coils be mounted vertically for cooling purposes.
The coil contains oil, and when mounted sideways, may quickly self
destruct for lack of cooling.
Mallory Ignition ( a division of Super Shops ) offers coils that can be
mounted in any position.
Anyone using an upgraded (or stock) ignition should be using the highest
quality caps, rotors and wires available. MSD, Accell, Jacobs and Mallory
all manufacture these parts.
If you can hear cross-firing or a voltage leak in the ignition, you have
problems. Under no circumstances is this an optimum situation.
