I hope the price of the truck went down based on these options being
deleted at build. If you *are* still paying the same amount for the
truck I would tell the guy he's gonna have to eat the install costs!
If you both agreed on a price for a truck with certain options you
should either 1. get those options or 2. renegotiate a price based
upon the truck you actually received.

When my '97 2WD Reg. cab came in it had the 22 gal. tank at $50. I
had originally wanted a 15 gal. tank for weight reasons (gonna take it
to the strip) but thought there was a miscommunication between me and
the saleman. It turns out I'm glad I've got the extra capacity now.
All this talk has got me thinking though and I'm going to have to
check my order receipt and see what the option list I requested
actually was.

Just my .02

<snip>

I ordered my 97 Dakota with 5.2L, Club Cab, etc... I
ordered it with the tire and handling package, overhead console, fog
lights, and floor mats. When it arrived, the tire and handling
package, overhead console, fog lights and floor mats were not on it.
