What model years has your dad owned?
I can list my dislikes of the '97 Dakota...(it's my opinion, really!)
#1 I don't like the look of the rear speaker grills: in the '96 and
older the grills don't stand out as 'grills', whereas the '97's look
like 6.5" speakers!
#2 The truck is too wide to fit into my garage! I can fit my '95 Dakota,
2 jetskis, 1 motorcycle, 1 Toyota Corolla, a
lawnmower, and still
get out of the cars in the garage (barely!)
#3 Uh,....what was the question??
#4 Too many of them on the road now!! Every V6/V8 Dakota on the
block wants to race me! :) "Why can't we all get along!"
('97s will grow on me, but I am a diehard '91-96 kinda guy!)
BTW:
I ran up against a V6 '97 SLT+ the morning to work... He thought I was
just another 'old' Dakota... Poor guy was shaken his head as I pulled away
from
him on the hill climb (fwy) on the way to work... I think to take this
any further,
I will get the dual whip ant's, the running boards with lights, massive mud
flaps
that say 'BACK OFF', and one of those 'FLAT' bug guards... Then they
REALLY
would be surprised!
