I'm lookin' for this same look, Jeff. I went through a huge ordeal
before you came to the list. I really wanted a 285/70 in the back for
a 'fat tire' look. These are about 30" in diamter. Problem is that
the new Dak wheels have a 'front drive' type positive offset and in
typical Chrysler fashion the rims are moved to the extreme outboard.
Any huge change in tire width puts the sidewall past the fender lip.
I *don't* want the tires hangin' out.
My option were: 1) *Extremely* expensive custom rims to pull the
wheel/tire centerline in a bit, 2) Shorted the axles and housing to
pull the wheel/tire centerline in a bit (this would actually be
cheaper than the customs rims I'd need), 3) Smaller width tires.
I'm choosin' #3 for now. I'm gonna use 255/70's in the back. They're
29" tall. I haven't decided if I'll stay with the 215's in the front
for a more 'big-n-little' look or upgrade the fronts to 235/70's. I
put the 235-255/70 combo on my wife's S10 Blazer and it looks *real*
good. She just learned the term 'big meats' in reference to tires and
now calls 'em that all the time. ;)

Does anybody know the width of the rims that come with the '97 sport
package? I've only got the 215 75R15 Invicta GL's right now.
What I want to do is put as large (Diameter) tires on the back wheels as
possible. I know it will throw off the speedo, as a matter of fact,
that's what I want to do. Plus, It'll give me a nice rake :)
