I recently purchased a 1991 Dakota v6 5spd. I love it. The problem I had
was to do with the ABS light and the gas guage. 14 days after I bought it
I had the ABS lock on at all times and the gas guage read empty on a full
tank. My dealer (Jim Davidson for all that know Ontario) said they would
be willing to pay half for the repairs. They wanted me to come up with
$300. a $50 part, a $200 part and $350 in labor. It turned out that I had
a bad wire causing the ABS light problem and still do have the gase guage
problem. I feel that a truck chould have at least a 30 day warentee on
that kinda stuff. (Canadian $$$) I paid $7200 for the truck, and $1250 for
a 3 year 60,000km power train warentee. They have money from me. I feel
any dealer big enough to keep a Dodge Stealth outside in snow should be
willing to pay a little more.
