Given that, a mere 1/8th throttle
would net 26.3 mph... And if throttle position
was relative to a given RPM, then 1/8th throttle
would equate to 687.5 rpm....So ACTUALLY
the full throttle speed would be 211.1678832 mph
@5500 rpm... Then imagine if you built a full race
motor capable of 8000 rpm, you'd be able muster
a mere 307.1532846 mph...

These figures are purely speculation, your
Indicated airspeed might be higher due to altitude
and temperature changes ! :P

--------------

        Another mind bender....

I average 28000 miles a year on my truck
annually. That works out to be 76.72 miles a day....
Which is average speed of 3.2 mph (every hour,
24hrs. day, 7 days a week)... or .0534 miles a
minute....or .00089 miles a second x 5280 (or so)
feet = 4.7 to 5 feet per second average...

So standing still my truck really isn't
(not counting the earth's movement, or travel in space!)
