Breather

I also have a '96 and I went with the K&N drop-in (using OE air can)
about a year ago. It was hard to really detect any improvement in
perf (they estimate 5HP increase for the drop-in). Beforehand, I
had tested a Mr. Gasket 14" but did not like the sucking (sort of
whistle) sound at normal throttle. But I *LOVED* the roar at WOT!
I'm tempted to give a FIPK clone a try again (I had returned the
Mr. Gasket for a refund after I briefly tried it last year). It
sounds like there's a pretty good HP boost with the FIPK.

What do you guys think of the "whistle/sucking" sound? I assume it's
normal for an open element FIPK. Of course, I may not hear it much
any longer because I've since put on the MP cat-back system :-)
