No, the power is always at the SBEC whenever the battery is in
the truck and still hooked up. to 'Clean out' the present profile
that has been 'learned' by your SBEC, disconnect the Battery, the
time needed to be disconnected would depend on the circuitry in the
SBEC, but just to be sure, 1 Hour should be plenty of time to reset
to factory default settings....
This feature of 'learning' is one of the reasons that Code 12 exists.
I think you can be pretty sure that if you dont get a code 12, that
the profile won't change by that much for every new time the truck
is driven, cuz over a longer time and more averages, any changes in
driving habits will have less and less effect over-all.

Read into this the 'Break-in' period of the truck. Although, the
mechanical aspect of the break-in period is also being considered, the
learn mode of the SBEC is also being affected. So if you baby a new
truck, the drivers profile will also be affected. So after the 'break
in' period is over (mechanically) you might want to try to reset to
factory defaults and start again electrically.
This is just my opinion FWIW.
Any other comments??
